Sail Away Club may earn money through affiliate marketing. When you click a link on our site and make a purchase on a third-party retailer (Etsy today), we may receive a small commission. This commission comes from the retailer, not from you. You pay the exact same price whether you use our link or navigate to the product directly.

Our product links point to Etsy. We do not link to Amazon today; if we add Amazon links, this page will say so first. Where an affiliate relationship is active, qualifying purchases made through our links may earn us a commission from the retailer, and that retailer or its affiliate network may set cookies to track the referral. This page will always reflect our current relationships.

How We Choose Products
Our editorial process is independent of our affiliate relationships. We recommend products based on:
- Quality and reviews — We look at real customer feedback and ratings
- Relevance to cruisers — Every product we feature is specifically useful for cruise travel
- Value for money — We recommend products across multiple price points
- Seller reputation — We check seller ratings, ship times, and return policies
We will never recommend a product solely because it pays a higher commission. If a product isn't good enough for us to recommend to a friend going on their first cruise, it doesn't make it onto our site.
How to Identify Affiliate Links
Links on our site marked with the Ad chip that direct you to Etsy product pages are affiliate links; plain Etsy links in older articles are not tracked. These links contain tracking parameters that identify Sail Away Club as the referrer. You can identify these by the URL structure when you hover over or click a link.
Not every link on our site is an affiliate link. Links to informational resources, cruise line websites, and our own pages are not affiliate links.
